Not spectacular performance, but definitely better than a normal HDD
The boot-up times are faster than a normal HDD and like it advertised, the 16GB most used data is going to be faster than normal.

But besides that, its kind of expensive. I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to spend the 5000rs difference on a dedicated 60GB SSD.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Please disregard above comment. This is a revolutionary HDD.
Some person above left his review about his confusion, he is totally ignorant of what's coming. SSDs have short lifespan and they start losing data just like a flash usb. Now even if you get an SSD, it will only boost your OS(Win) boot time if you get 60GB SSD worth 5k. The idea of SSHD is awesome beyond doubt, it's an improvement of assembly enforced with same SSD tech and a solid hard disk; Results are: - 1-2.5s Windows 8/10 boot timing(in actual) - Huge speed in data rendering, compression/decom, games loading etc. etc. I have bought 1TB SSHD for an experiment when I was looking for an upgrade. And I'm so much satisfied, I'd like to spend my savings getting a 3TB SSHD if I get a chance. Definitely buy this than any other crappy slow HDD or low life SSD.
